In the coming weeks, we will come up with our own classroom rules. They may look something like this:

1. We take care of each other and our classroom.
2. We take turns.
3. We are good listeners.
4. We sit criss-cross applesauce, so no one gets hurt.
5. We keep our hands, our feet, and our not nice words to ourselves.

If a student needs a reminder to follow a rule, I turn their card once. I turn it again for a second reminder. I take the card out of the chart for a third reminder and the student will miss five minutes of recess or free play. Together, we will fill out a Think Sheet.
