The Homework that you see on this page will simply be copied from the homework I send home with the children. The copy will be text only, and probably ugly. I need to keep this as easy as possible. Please excuse the lack of formatting.
Accompanying worksheets, if lost, need to be recopied. Please let me know if you need extra copies.

....ABOUT MATH HOMEWORK....

Because of the way that I "do" Math, math homework is not always predictable. If there is homework, it usually . involves finishing up classroom assignments for that day. Sometimes however, I spend the whole period teaching a concept, and there are either no pages assigned, or the pages need to be done completely at home.

Parents should always check math folders for the classroom assignments (written for each group, along with their assignment for that day). On the Web Page, I will publish the latest pages assigned in class, hopefully, no later than Tuesday of every week.

Also, check for needed corrections on a particular page. Children do not need to correct all problems, but if the student does not understand a concept, and misses several or more in a particular section, it is expected that they go back and correct. Red Apples on a column of answers means that the page is done to my satisfaction.

Please be aware that the length of my teaching sessions (lecture & practice) go for as long as needed each day. We may find there is more -- or less time to do assigned pages in class, meaning more --or less work at home.

If I forgot to send home the "Reporter" with your child, or your child happens to forget (which gets me off the hook), click here for the news part of the paper (sorry, no enclosures).   Reporter Link

May 17 - 21

Notes:
Tomorrow is our Spring Concert. Rehearsal is at BIS. Please drop your child off at BIS at 8:30 in the MORNING for rehearsal. I will be working on Science Olympiad at Roosevelt, but Mr. Hills and other teachers will be there to welcome children and tell them where to go and what to do.
The concert itself will be at BIS at 7:00. Please have children there by 6:40 pm.

A lot of children are getting excited about the Science Kids Club Egg Drop, happening on May 25 at Noon.

We'll be getting Challenge Groups for Science Olympiad soon. Ask your child which event they will be competing in. Many of these children win because they practice at home and at school. Anyone still interested in volunteering for this day can drop me a note, or email Alvin Begun at abegun@begunconsulting.com
